Grinding Gear Games has released Hotfix 6 for Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt, implementing significant balance changes aimed at refining the mid-game experience. This update notably reduces monster life in mid-level zones and decreases the strength of Rogue Exiles.
Key Changes in Hotfix 6
Monster Life Adjustments
- Life Reduction in Mid-Level Zones: Non-unique monsters now have reduced life, tapering from 100% to 75% between levels 8 and 15. Monsters between levels 15 and 46 have had their life reduced by 25%. This change aims to make combat more dynamic and lessen prolonged encounters during the mid-game.
- Endgame Monster Life Unchanged: Monsters between levels 46 and 64 experience a gradual increase in life from 75% back to 100%, resulting in endgame monsters retaining their previous life totals. Thresholds for Crowd Control and Ailments have been adjusted proportionally.
Rogue Exiles Nerfed
- Reduced Life and Damage Output: Rogue Exiles have had their life reduced by an additional 40% on top of the general monster life reductions. This adjustment addresses their previously high difficulty level, aligning them more closely with surrounding content.
Monster Modifiers
- “Of the Hydra” Modifier Adjusted: The Life Regeneration monster modifier, known as “of the Hydra,” now only appears on monsters level 65 and above, preventing early-game encounters from becoming overly challenging due to excessive regeneration.
These changes reflect Grinding Gear Games’ commitment to balancing Path of Exile 2‘s difficulty curve, ensuring a smoother progression through the game’s mid-level content.
